C.M. Beckett

When Steve Englehart & Marshall Rogers finally allowed Norrin Radd release from Earth with the “new” Silver Surfer in 1987, it was such an elegant and simple solution that I was all in for this new series, especially since the Silver Surfer would now be able to soar the spaceways.  But Rogers’s art quickly became tired.

Thankfully Ron Lim would inject an excitement into the series with his first issue, #15, and I collected this book up through issue 85 or 86.  Good times.

yeah, the early art wasn’t life changing but the early stories weren’t too terrible.
